Membership in the Women’s Golf Association (WGA) will be limited to those women who have paid their annual membership dues and have unrestricted golfing privileges. Eligible membership categories include Active, Non-Equity Active, Senior, Super Senior, Corporate, and Intermediate I, II and III. A Golfing Spouse is also eligible under the eligible membership classifications.
- A maximum handicap of 45 will be allowed for participating in weekly WGA events.
- A maximum handicap of 45 will be allowed for participating in WGA tournaments.
- You must have at least three (3) attested current scores to establish a handicap.
- WGA members without a handicap are welcome to play with our ladies on Ladies Day which will help establish their handicap. Participation in the weekly game and/or jackpot is not permitted until a handicap is established.
GENERAL PLAYING PRIVLEGES FOR WOMEN WITH A FULL GOLF MEMBERSHIP
Tuesday - Unrestricted golf.
Wednesday - Women, excluding Social members, may tee off before 9:30 a.m. and/or after 2:00 p.m.
Thursday - Unrestricted golf. Non-members of the WGA should check with the Golf Professional before teeing off.
Friday - Unrestricted golf.
Sat, Sun - Women can tee off beginning at 9:30 a.m. & Holidays
Course availability is always subject to scheduling an advanced tee time. Variations of this schedule may be made at the discretion of the Golf Professional.
WOMEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION OF WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA (WGAWP)
Nemacolin Country Club is proud to be a part of Women’s Western. The WGAWP conducts over 20 tournaments each year in addition to Team Matches, Mixed Partner Events, and open play at may courses throughout the season. Eligibility for joining the WGAWP requires a qualifying handicap index, new membership approval (or renewal) and payment of annual dues. The membership category held cannot restrict the number of times she can play or charge green fees.
QUALIFYING HANDICAP INDEX: Using eight (8) attested scores of her most recent twenty (20) eighteen (18) hole scores from any West Penn Golf Association course, the qualifying index is 21.4 or below. The eight (8) attested rounds must have been played during our ACTIVE PERIOD (April 1 to November 14).
